I had a wonderful opportunity to see Lowell Brown in action as a presenter at “My Charity Connects 2012″, a nationwide conference to assist not-for-profits with their social media efforts. (Toronto, ON, June 13/14) Lowell gave a thorough presentation on “Facebook Marketing for Non-profits – Attract More Supporters & Ignite your Community”. His message was clear, data accurate as he guided the participants through an exercise on goals.

The audience ranged in their skill level and managed to go at a pace that worked for everyone. He certainly engaged the audience with his warmth and sense of humour – there was good participation.

Hi Lowell,

I attended your session in February in Toronto. You may recall that I flew in from Windsor, Ontario that morning solely to attend your seminar. As a business person, I always believe that feedback is important and thought it would be a good time to do so. When I attended the session, our company (a local dance studio) was just starting to utilize Facebook as a marketing tool. At the time we had 107 people who liked our page. This is a page that had been in existance for 3 years, but had not been focused on. After your seminar, I kicked up our efforts 1000% and using the tools and techniques learned, have revolutionized our business. As of this email, we have 774 people who like our page. (We are gaining 10-15 new likes each day).

That is a tremendous increase within 2 1/2 months. We have utilized Pagemodo to redesign our Welcome Page, and through Constant Contact email marketing, Hootsuite, in studio advertising, and building our audience through Admin page suggestions, we have transformed our online presence. We are in better contact with our clients, have sold out performances based on the additional online marketing presence, and have increased traffic interested in registering their children for dance next season.

In addition we were awarded a Top Business award from Constant Contact for our positive efforts connecting with our clients this year. I should also mention that we have spent only $40 in Facebook advertising promotions. Thanks to your seminar, our business is booming and our interactions with clients are stronger than ever. Thank you for hosting these seminars and providing information that is helpful to small businesses to maximize their potential with modern advertising. If this isn’t a success story, I don’t know what is!
